It would be nice to see a start date next to "Thread Starter".
Similar to the "Last Post" column. So that you could know the date the thread started.

as an alternative, you can also find out the time and date that the thread was started by looking at the first post in the thread...it should state the date and time under the members name...

True. Its more of a convenience than a neccessity.

I agree to the start date next to thread starter, with my super fast 26K connection (at best), it takes me a little bit for the forum to load and see when it was started. I will have wireless soon (maybe 256K up/down), but till then I plead to the laziness. :)

I agree that this would be a nice, but not especially important, amenity. Especially on a forum where so many things are time sensitive (sadly, deals do tend to expire after a while). This would make it easier to weed out deals that are a month old and say "1 week only" in the subject, etc.
Just my $4/200

Although I don't think vBulletin saves the timestamp of a thread start, only of the post, so making a column of start times would be a little hard for a non-PHP-mySQL programmer.
