Hey guys!

My name is Walter and I'm an 18-yea-old Freshman college undergraduate student. I recently got accepted into a international internship in Wuhan China. The cost of my flight is going to come out of a scholarship fund that I won when I first got into the college, but I'd still like to keep the cost of the flight to a minimum. The start and end times of my flight are EXTREMELY flexible. I can depart any time between June 1st and June 7th from Newark or JFK and I can come back any time between August 16th and August 22nd from Wuhan. I've been a Slickdealer (I <3 slickdeals) for quite some time now, and the cheapest flight I could find was for $1012 after taxes and fees. If anyone knows of any coupon codes for international flights, or could find a better deal for me, it would be GREATLY appreciated. I did search the website before hand, but all of the coupons I saw needed you to book a hotel as well. The internship is going to provide housing, so I won't be needing any hotels. Thanks for any help!

I'm EXTREMELY FLEXIBLE and I'M A BROKE COLLEGE STUDENT! I'd sit with the cargo if it'd save me $100 :yummy: !!!

typically flights have a begining and an end-point... you may want to consider mentioning both....

In general, you can get better deals for flights to China by going to a travel agent in Chinatown in your nearest large city. Chinese grad students at your college could also probably tell about some travel agents in your area that specialize in travel to China.

Invest in a decent pari of noise canceling head phone. You should be able to pick up on $80 or so. I know you are low on funds but it will be worth IMHO.

Wow, congrats on your internship!

Yep, a Chinatown travel agency would be one of the best solutions to get a cheaper flight. Most if not all of the flights go into Shanghai/Beijing and you'll have to pick up the connection to Wuhan from there.

Regardless of the way you get there, have fun! Wuhan is a great developing city (some good places to sightsee) and try the popular foods listed per Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wuhan#Popular_foods). I love the Dou Pi and Tang Bao.
