We want to purchase a laptop to use when we travel and as a 2nd computer for my daughter to use at home (she is only 3.5 years old) So we do not need it for tons of stuff, mainly just a few learning programs for my DD and internet for us.

Not sure what I need in terms of models, speeds, space, etc?

I do not want it so bloody slow that when I work on it, I get annoyed, but do not want top of the line either. Thought about netbook, but want to be able to play DVDs and learning CDs for DD. Also want one with a smaller screen.

:thanks:

What is it about the T3400 that makes it so slow?

Looks like a good deal, but not sure it would be best for us because it is a tablet, although I love the idea.
Also concerned about the noise and heat reviewers talk about.
Any other suggestions?
