I am interested in buying a new laptop and was wanting to know if anyone has any info regarding this one:
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4545380&CatId=17

Tigerdirect is also offering like 10% cashback on this plus with the $1.99 shipping would make it seem like a great deal. Any additional info cause I am really liking this. It has everything that I want, the only thing is I would like a 12.1 inch screen but that would cosst way more but this is perfect other than that. More info would be appreciated. thanks!

What is your budget? Do you need a machine with discrete graphics? What will be the primary use of laptop?

mainly for school use w/ the occasional "movie & music borrowing" watching movies on my lcd, things of that sort. my budget, no more than $550 w/tax preferably under $500 if possible
i was gonna get on that HP from staples w/$100 coupon for around 6 but saw people were not getting lucky with coupon so decided against it. the 12.1 hp from staples is the perfect computer

thats perfect but still outside my budget.

Did you see this one?

Might be a little smaller and you don't have to deal with TigerDirect...

i did see that one, I liked it a lot, but the wifey doesnt like gateway. She is unsure about the name cause she has never heard of it, just the usuals, HP, Sony, Dell are the main ones she knows.

How about this one

http://configure.us.dell.com/dellstore/config.aspx?oc=blcwcfp&cs=04&dgvcode=ss&c=US&l=EN&dgc=BF&cid=7420&lid=197374&acd=10466193-1260291-

Change the processor to Core 2 Duo and it will be $526 + tax

You can get the extra RAM from outside for less than 10 bucks
