Hi, I'm looking for a vacuum at a decent price. I only have one room with carpet so I won't be using it much.

My budget is no more than $100...

I recommend Hoover Tempo... has nearly 4.5 stars on Amazon. I just bought one for $70 off there about a month ago and it works FANTASTICALLY. I love it. It picks up all the nasty hair in my house with ease... two dogs and a cat and it just picks everything right up. It also does the hepa filtration stuff if you have allergies. Love love love it! It has GREAT suction and picks everything right up. Also very light.

Only downside might be that the brush doesn't turn off on bare floors or when you're using attachments. It doesn't bother me, but it might you.

Other than that, I highly recommend it!

bissell Powerforce. A great vac for around $50 at WM. We have had ours for about 2yrs and it works great. Bags are cheap. Works better than bagless IMO. Dirtdevil makes one just like it in the same price range.
