:) I have bought plants at the park district, garden club as well as at garage sales. My favorite was the garden club they had alot of variety and they were very helpful with tips and garden ideas. Good Luck

Garden clubs are good, look up plant sales at your local newspaper's website.

But why pay retail when some clubs have plant sales this time of year, or perhaps a neighbor with a green thumb would start a clipping or show you how. Or if you have a friendly realator who would keep an ear out for people who are moving too far to take their plants with them. Or good ole craigslist.

I have found some great plant (flowers, shrubs, vegetables) at Kmart. For some reason the plants they have on sale for around 30% off are a lot cheaper than that. If you can find one of those self scanners, check the sale plants, I found some reg $4.99 for $1.50.

Not one of those places on the side of the road. Lowe's, Home Depot or even WalMart are good.

Home Depot has some really good prices on palms right now. The garden manager told me the growers have too many large plants and had to move them. My sister and I both independently noticed their palm prices and both of us tried to get the hubbys to put some in our yards, but alas no room for them. :shake:

I bought a LOT of annuals with the Osh $10/$30 coupon. I think it exp end of the month. If you search the SD website, you should find it.
