Hello, I hope you are well. A friend of mine is looking for a two-year cell phone plan. She has been going month-to-month with AT&T but her phone just broke, so she thought she'd might as well go with a plan now.

A few things:
-She doesn't want to pay for a phone, though she wants a good one. I see that sites like Amazon.com and Wirefly.com give out free phones if you do a two-year contract with them.
-She's looking at the Samsung Impression, which is free on Amazon.com with a two-year contract, and would be happy getting that phone.
-She does not want to lose her phone number.

Is there a better deal than just to get this phone on Amazon.com? I know that some retail store (non-official AT&T stores) give extra perks, such as additional minutes, no activation fees, etc. Is there any way to get such perks or a better deal?

Thanks,
Victor

Blackberry Curve for 1 cent (http://www.amazon.com/BlackBerry-Curve-8320-Phone-Blue/dp/B001O0EHWC/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=wireless&qid=1242388746&sr=1-2) - you can prolly transfer the number, but check with Amazon or AT&T about it first.
