Hi I was asked by a friend of mine to look up prices on 80" LCD tvs. Now I think he has no idea on what to look for when looking for tvs and neither do I. So he basically wants a screen that is BIG for his restaurant. So I think he would also consider projectors but if I have no idea what to look for in tvs, much less in projectors. So any help will be much appreciated!

Is it going on a wall? If not you could get a 73" DLP for about $2K, or you would have to go with a projector. If you go with a projector, get a VERY bright one.

80" LCDs and Plasma TVs are made, but they don't seems to be sold easily/publicaly. Check with a local high-end home theater store. but a projector is prolly gonna be cheaper.
