This is probably something that should not be abused considering it's supposed to be a site of information for cancer patients and families and friends etc. I know it's a .gov site but still... I will pass on this one.

Good find. I didn't order one but save a pdf copy of it. There is that option if people don't feel like ordering from them

Did you see that it's also available for download in a pdf?! I got it that way and felt no guilt whatsoever. My karma is in good standing.

Don't feel bad ordering, outreach is one of NIH's primary missions (the other main one of course being research). In fact, beyond NCI, all the other Institutes at NIH offer educational materials, depending on what you're looking for. For example, the National Heart Lung & Blood Institute offers a "heart healthy" cookbook that's free to DL (or $4 for hard copy) at: http://www.nhlbi.nih.gov/health/public/heart/other/ktb_recipebk/index.htm
Another on African American cooking: http://emall.nhlbihin.net/product2.asp?sku=08-3792
Another with Latino recipes: http://emall.nhlbihin.net/product2.asp?sku=08-4049&p=3&h=3&g=44&r=1
Their National Diabetes program offers a free downloadable cookbook for diabetics: http://ndep.nih.gov/diabetes/pubs/MQC_recipebook_english.pdf
I'm sure there are others, but if you have a particular health issue, it's definitely worth poking around...

There isn't a place to sign up online for free copy but I called and ordered it toll free. Really nice man took my order. I know you can print them off but I do prefer to have the hard copy .
