Hi Folks,

I am looking for a small laptop from 14.1 inches and smaller that has a good CPU and my budget is $800. I plan on using it for college to surf the web and do research.

Any suggestions?

Thanks
LS

if it has that broadcom chip you don't seem to like you can buy a cheap intel or atheros chip off ebay for $15 or so

alright, you should include all the features you want it to have and under $800 is not really even worth mentioning as decently loaded laptops are slickdeals at $400 or less

And 14.1 and less isn't good either because my 2lb Dell Mini 9 is smaller than 14" and it's a whole different beast than a 7lb 14" laptop. How do you want to balance portability with screen size? What about battery life? Is an intel video card good enough or do you need some sort of dedicated card? You want a webcam, do you want a built in mic? Do you want a bluray drive? fingerprint reader? any certain brands? Do you need any certain battery life, weight or screen/keyboard size requirements?
