I have started my own little computer business and have been somewhat successful with word of mouth advertising; however, I need more business if I have any expectation of affording tuition this coming fall. So I would like to create door hangers and go put them out in neighborhoods locally. I could create them myself, but they turn out to be far too much work (all the cutting, trying to figure out how to punch a hole in it, etc) and expensive ($0.09 per ONE side, only black and white) to do on my own.

I would like to order door hangers online. I am looking for the cheapest place possible. Everybody seems to offer all of these "full color and gloss!" options, but I really only need the bare minimum. It would be especially nice to find somewhere with some current deal for such things, as any dollar saved is a dollar to spend on a meal or something.

Any ideas? Thanks!

I've lived in my house for 8 years. Want to know how many products/services I've purchased based on crap left on my door?

None. In fact, I think less of companies that pollute my porch because I have to clean that crap up.

Save your money. Focus on word of mouth or ads in your local paper. I live in a huge city but get 3 gimmie papers a week and I look through them to see what the kids are up to.

I know the feeling. I'm honestly considering approaching this flyer a little differently, just for fun. I'm debating on one that has on the front in big letters "PUT THIS BY YOUR COMPUTER", followed by an explanation of how you should call me if something goes wrong, etc... or, I'm thinking of another one that says "OH NO, NOT ANOTHER FLYER LEFT ON MY DOOR". I'll have something little that says "If you feel that this was a waste, here is a sudoku puzzle so that it wasnt a complete waste of your time" or something. *shrug*. I'm not really sure. I just need to convince people to put it near their computer, because I have to pay for tuition. That is all.

All I know is that I need business, badly. *sigh*

Put flyers up near community mailboxes. Contact HOA's and see if they put out a newsletter and see what it would take to get an ad in it.

Contact the school PTO and see if they put out a newsletter and get an ad in it. Offer a free hour of service to an existing customer if they bring you a new customer.

Put a flyer up at your local libraries. Ours has a community board that anyone can post on.

I get junk on my door all the time. I don't know of a single neighbor that has purchased a service from that kind of advertisement, either.
