This is 5-5-5-15 timings - better than the OCz RAM we see for the same price and pretty much the best you're going to do without paying at least double. I've been waiting for these to show up with free shipping, thanks.

This is a great deal, much cheaper than other places. In for one pair.

looked like a good deal but newegg has a fair amount of bad reviews on this ram as well as not having the rebate honored. Is this ram faster than the patriot viper ram that was posted a little while ago?

The patriot is PC6400 and this is PC8500. Is 8500 faster? The timings on the patriot are 4-4-4-12. This is 5-5-5-15. Speed is fater on corsair but timings are better on patriot. I'm sooo confused. Can someone unconfuse me? Thanks!

make sure your mobo supports 8500. pc6400 runs at 400mhz and 8500 runs at 533mhz

I thought I saw somewhere that memory can clock down if the mobo/cpu do not support the higher speeds? for example this 1066 could automatically clock down to 800 MHz if needed?
is this true?

meh... looks like this ram runs 2.1v stock

my corsair $18-AR 2x2GB PC6400 (400/800mhz) easily does PC8500 at those volts.. this is just factory overclocked/overvolted ram at a higher price
