I think there should be a place underneath your posts that shows your nationality like a flag. I saw it on another site before but i forget the sites url.

Those who want to state their location already do. For instance, we understand that you live in sAn FrAnCiScO!
Some flags are easily recognized, others aren't. The current optional text areas are more than adequate.

if you want to know what nationality someone might be, just go to the picture gallery. half of the SDers might not know which country a flag might belong to.

Don't think that it is a good idea. It creates a room for discrimination.

you dont have to show it if you choose not to. it can be like your location you can show it or not show it.

So one out of every 200 SDer's will have something other than the Stars and Bars......And 9 out of 10 of those will be the Maple Leaf. I don't see any benifit to the forum from this suggestion

basically we'd be using storage space and bandwidth (not much, but we don't have just gobs of bandwidth to spare, especially in the coming months) so people could put up the flags of countries they're not even from. "kazlakastan has one ugly flag. that's where i'm from for sure."

just because you live here doens't necessarly mean its what you claim.
I know lots of 3rd and 4th generation americans that still claim their Irish pride...
