Looking for a 1000HE for the wife, where is the best deal. I have seen them as cheap as $340, but can not find them and lower than around $375 right now.

Looks like $375 is about where they are now that the ZZF rebate (350) is gone. I'm hoping for one to scrape ~320-300 in the coming month or two.

Easy. Okay.. maybe not that easy. Just buy on ebay. $373 shipped. With 8% cashback from bing and 3% cashback from urlhasbeenblocked making it $332. Then if you have the ebay bucks, you'll get back another $7.46 making the total a mere $324. The good thing is that all these cashbacks will come. The bad thing... you'll have to wait 2 months for the bing cashback.
I'm ready to make my purchase but also waiting like you. Maybe something new will come out :)
