I got a barely used nice iphone 3g 8gb for 350$ off CL.

CL is great, provided you use common sense to detect scammers. I once had a lady convincing me to buy a chinese iphone knock-off for 350$!

well since im assuming you won't know which iphones are knockoffs, i would say no to craigslist.

But you should trust ebayers with 100% feedbacks. Ebay is good, just make sure you're not buying anything that states its a knockout.

Otherwise there's no where else to buy it but the att or apple store, which you gotta fork over the $600


Also, you don't exactly gotta buy one that's unlocked. You can do it yourself with yellowsn0w or a $10 turbo sim

the best thing about craigslist is that you meet f2f, get to actually see, touch, demo what you are buying and if you dont like what you see or figure out the BS you can walk away.

um...correct me if im wrong..but Verizon is CDMA and the Iphone only runs on GSM...so as the Iphone willrequire a sim card.....and verizon doesnt support sim cards and or GSM...you're pretty much screwed..... Do your research before you purchse a phone that doesnt work on your network...
