My son will be 12 and wants either a DSi or an iTouch. Of course, I'd rather get the DSi since it is so much cheaper. He already has a first run DS and a 30g iPod Video. Are there any deals and any good reasons why he should get either since he already has the other 2?
Any suggestions, ideas, deals would be greatly appreciated.:look:

DSi.
At 12, I lost stuff, and I'd be pissed if he lost a $350 piece of equipment.

The ipod touch is an amazing device, I personally would be lost without mine in a day. I am also 20 years old and in college so I get all the use out of it that I can.

At his age I think I would recommend the DSi. However I am not familiar with it and the differences between the old versions. So make sure there is a reason to upgrade before you buy.

I don't think I know a single 12-year old than has ever needed an iTouch.

my son is only 4 but I'm thinking about buying him an iPod Touch just so I can have my iPhone back. He loves the games on the iPhone. Besides finding a used 2nd generation iPod touch shouldnt be as expensive as a new DSi.

My 11 year old son recently got the DSi. He enjoys the cameras and the Internet Browser.

I know of at least two of his classmates who have iPhones, touting the games they have. My son is already asking about getting an iPhone as well, but that won't happen anytime soon if I have any say in it. Regular cellphone will do until he is more responsible.

I feel so out of touch. With the DSi you can browse the internet, too? How are the pictures it takes? Can you print them? This may be what I'll get. Thanks!!:)

Sorta crippled Internet. No Flash or Java support. But who's to say they won't be added later. Camera is nice as my son likes to morph and play with the pictures. It definitely becomes more than just a gaming device. Print? Hmmm... Good question. There is an SD slot, so you could always slot that SD into a printer. Picture quality. Think average camera phone.

Nothing great.

Unless you want to try this one: http://forums.slickdeals.net/showthread.php?sduid=197359&t=1380259

I just settled for the Costco B&M bundle.

Oh great! My son and I went to Best Buy for him to physically check out the DSi. They didn't have one on display, but they did have a PSP. He wasn't even considering a PSP until he played it. Now he doesn't know what he should get. Any help? Any deals?
Thanks!
