I wont recommend a dvd camcorder in my opinion i'll wait for a 30gb or 60gb hard drive. try not to get the jvc everios their file format is too proprietary, i have a sony 30gb last 7 hours and files are mpeg so you can convert to anything with a 3rd party free software. cant vouch for other brands but i would look for the best file format you can find my camcorder is 3 yrs old so they might have some new ones now maybe a divx file that will be the best format
