I am looking for a very small inernal laptop hard drive. It has to be EIDE interface.

Any size is actually fine, but I assume small drives like 10 GB will be cheapest if they can even be found any more.

Anyone know where i can find one? I just want to turn an old laptop into my 2 year old daughter's play thing.

20GB Samsung (http://www.geeks.com/details.asp?invtid=MP0201H-NDW&cat=HDD) - $31.99 + Shipping

If you have some spare CompactFlash memory cards or can find some cheap, you could use a 2.5" IDE to CF adapter like these: $11.99 + $6 Shipping (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812186050), $20.19 + $6 Shipping (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812200153), or $28.99 + $6 Shipping (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812200175)

Newegg's cheapest start at $50 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=2010150380%201035907889&bop=And&ActiveSearchResult=True&Order=PRICE)

Thanks for the links.

I was thinking about the CF idea... might be a good route to go.

The $12 SYBA seems to be slightly cheaper here (http://www.eforcity.com/pcrdidecfad1.html) at $8.99 + cheaper shipping.

The same card also seems to be available on Monoprice (http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=104&cp_id=10407&cs_id=1040705&p_id=4623&seq=1&format=2) for $4.88 + Shipping, which came out to about $7.80 total for me.

I'm doing the same thing. I just bought 3 adapters from ebay for $5, with free shipping. Now I need a CF card. :)
