My wife and I are currently on a family plan through Verizon, just 2 lines with the 700 minutes, and the 250/month text plan on each line. I also have an 18% discount on my plan from my old employer.

We're both interested in upgrading to smartphones, but the additional $30/month/line that Verizon demands is completely outrageous in my opinion. Sprint's Everything Data share plan sounds pretty attractive (1500 mins + unlimited data/texting/gps for $130/month for 2 lines) compared to Verizon, but we're trying to stay in the $100-110 range. Unfortunately, my current employer doesn't offer any sort of discount through any service provider (very small company), so by switching service, I would lose out on any kind of employee discount.

Does Sprint offer any other kind of monthly service discount for those people whose employers don't offer discounts, like a referral or a friends/family program? Hoping for something around 20%. Thanks.

You could try this (http://forums.slickdeals.net/showthread.php?sduid=0&t=1260527) thread.

If you follow the link on that thread, it will take you to the discounted Sprint site. They have the everything plan with 1500 minutes, unlimited text, data, ect for $106.59. They also have some decent deals on smartphones like the Pre and Touch Pro. You have to be a new customer, but it sounds like you are.

I'm not sure if the "Jersey" code is still good for the cheaper Touch Pro but you can give it a shot if you want (if you do, I'm sure others would like to know if it's still working).
