Is there a policy on members pretending to be moderators by using custom user titles like "Moderater" or "MODERATER?" IMHO, such impersonation should not be accepted.

I thought I saw one earlier today... I think they should be put in time out for a bit.

I don't see the fuss...you can tell by the bar and the color he is not a real one. I find some of the crude ones far more troublesome then that, IMHO:dontknow:

I think it's wrong.... They are doing it for a reason, correct?

Some people are moderators in some forums and not others. The lack of a mod-bar just shows they aren't a moderator in that particular forum.

Mod alert them.

I think that it can be confusing to newer users who are not aware that mods have different color bars and bolded names. If you find any, please mod alert the posts and explain in the mod alert why and it will be addressed.

One down one to go...where did that guy go...?
I brought this up because in a couple of threads, people have indeed stated that they thought the impersonators were real moderators.

I know who you are talking about and personally I find it annoying too. But then again, they spelled the word Moderator incorrectly anyway. If they were truly a Mod, it would be spelled correctly.

I have had people ask me if I have become/am a MOD because of the newly Highlighted/Bold name. I think that may have confused a lot of new members.
And, speaking of newbies, I have had a bunch of them who will PM me with questions.. Which I might add, I dont mind answering but if I cant answer them, I tell them to PM Kel_be.
....sorry Kel! ;)
