Oh, I was just speaking from the other video I did. I've made 11 cents on that one, lol. They do have a promotion right now where the first 100 videos submitted about Pantene products get paid $5. Pantene is what I tried.

I did a search for expo tv and nothing came up. Not sure when I signed up but they send me surveys to apply for products tests. (You can also go to the website and apply too) It can be anything from household/beauty stuff to toys and video games. You have to have a video camera and basically you upload videos of yourself using the products.

Nope, I've never posted anything and I just got confirmed to get a full bottle of Vaseline for a PT. Tatty did say though is you don't post your review after you get it that you won't get any more product tests. Which makes sense because when you sign up for different PT programs one of the things they ask is if you're willing to make a review video and video reviews are big part of the site.

I need help - How the heck do you upload a video to this site? I'm logged in, have 2 assignments listed that I got accepted into (deserted island and cheer review) and I try to click on "upload video" and it just takes me back to the assignment page. When I click on the individual assignment I don't see anywhere to click to upload video. What am I doing wrong? :confused: :confused:

I finally recovered my password...I emailed Sarah directly and they weren't even aware of the problem (yet)....they fixed it pretty quickly and I got in to do my surveys.

I'm not real keen on the idea of uploading videos of myself, but maybe if I get a good product to evaluate.

Once you sign up, you have to wait for them to email you in order to try a product. I've been signed up since this was first posted, but have never received anything from them.


How will I know if I qualified for a Tryology Program?

You will receive an email notification from Expo letting you know that you qualified for a specific Tryology Program which will give you directions on how to confirm your interest and lock in your spot in the upcoming program.

Does anyone actually participate in this site for anything other than the freebies? I don't see where you can really take a good look at all of the rewards offered to see if it would be worth my time to upload the videos. But the sample of the rewards they show look nice.

I realize several of you have had great success with this program as well as the experience. I uploaded my first video last Saturday and I did get a message that it did upload successfully however when I log into my account it still tells me that no videos have been uploaded.

Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong or does your video have to be approved once you upload it?

it has to be approved it takes a while and then it has to be to their liking or they will tell you to rerecord

I realize several of you have had great success with this program as well as the experience. I uploaded my first video last Saturday and I did get a message that it did upload successfully however when I log into my account it still tells me that no videos have been uploaded.

Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong or does your video have to be approved once you upload it?

It does have to be approved, so probably just not approved yet. Although when I've uploaded videos they were approved within 24 hours, so it's weird it's been so long. Wonder if it's like Bzz where sometimes it takes long and sometimes not depending on who is doing the approving?

We filmed the kraft thing tonight but I forgot my vado was on highest quality setting so it's 300mb.:/ Is there any way to crunch this thing or do I just submit a email to expo letting them know I did it but messed up or something? im not sure how to but there has to be a way to shorten your video!!! when i was doing the printer video i had to redo it 5 times till i finally got it at the 100 mb point, but in your case i would search online how to cut off some of your video. good luck

You need to recompress the video at a lower quality setting/bitrate. Someone in the Tech forum should be able to tell you how.

I had the same problem when I did the Kraft Sandwich making video. Mine was almost 5 minutes longs and way too many mb. They suggested that I open it my Windows Movie Maker instead of the camera software and then compress it. I was able to figure out how to do that and it worked great.


How do I keep my videos under 100MB in size? What should I do if my file doesn't upload?
Check your file size to make sure it's not over 100MB. You may also need to try using software other than the software that came with your camera. We encourage you to edit and compress your videos with programs such as Windows Movie Maker (included with every Windows installation), or Apple iMovie (included on new Macs), that allow you to compress your videos for web streaming. Also, by opening your video file with one of these programs and then saving it as a .avi, .mpg, .mp4, .wmv, or .mov file, you should be able to upload your video

If you have a flip when the software opens there will be options down at the bottom after you select your video.. click on "online" then click "other websites" then do "other" again (this is as the new pages are opening). Then click next or ok or whatever it says. It saves it on your desktop in a smaller size. I've had 15 min videos that have compressed enough doing it that way.

Yup, that's how it works! I did a Pantene tryology before, but that was earlier in the year and I've not been accepted for any more since.

Whoever has the EXPO account and was selected for the program must be in the video...you can have other people in the video as long as you are on camera as well! I have done quite a few vids for them, so I know this from experience lol :)

Question - what kind of software you use to edit the videos? I don't have a webcam or a digital camcorder. I usually use my digital camera which has a video-taking function and my cellphone. Just wonder if I take the process of making the dessert and then I need to stop to wait until it is done to capture the end product. It would be 2 videos. How can I merge the 2 together? Sound stupid, right but I guess that I may get some help here. Thanks in advance.

not stupid at all! I just did it on windows movie maker...almost every pc has that windows movie maker already installed :D Then you just "upload vido clip" and then drag them both into your movie timeline..it's very quick!

not stupid at all! I just did it on windows movie maker...almost every pc has that windows movie maker already installed :D Then you just "upload vido clip" and then drag them both into your movie timeline..it's very quick!

Thanks. Yes, I recall seeing something like that but have never touch it before. Computer is somewhat my DH's and DB's pride. They always think that women are dumb on that although I don't think so. I am so excited as I got word that my Kraft dessert video was accepted! I had to do it over since the first time I did not have enough of myself in the video. This time around DH filmed me which apparently made the difference.

Does anyone happen to know once your pending points are credited how it works to access the Expo store?

I believe it takes a week for the points to actually post to your account. Until then, you will see them in your account in a pending status. As for the store, you just look through the different categories and choose what you want to 'purchase' with your points and then you check out. It's easy...I think it's harder for me to try to explain...:lol:

Thanks!!! :) I've done one before but I couldn't remember how long it took for me to get the kit. I just get really nervous because we have serious delivery problems in our neighborhood. :mad:

In the meantime, I just reviewed a Cascade product for them and uploaded the video. I was happy that my Kraft video was accepted and hope this one gets approved also.

I'm really enjoying these video reviews.

Update: I got word this morning my Cascade video was accepted also. I filmed this one myself and managed to use my tripod attached to my Vado camera to make sure I was in the video while I was washing dishes. Talk about multi-tasking. LOL!
