Cheap USB printer (upkeep and init. cost)

Just wondering if anyone has any good ideas/good deals going on for usb printers that are compatible with old macs (like osx 10.2)? A benefit would be if it could also work with ubuntu... Of course the ideal would be something that has low cost for buying replacement ink cartridges, but then again, that's how the printer companies work... >:(
