Hello, I hope you are well.

My girlfriend is moving into a new apartment and is looking for a wooden or hard plastic chopping board. Any suggestions on where I should get one from? Just looking for one that's a few bucks. I can only think of Target; that should be fine, right?

Thanks,
Victor

Target should be fine, and I recommend a plastic one (doesn't adsorb blood and the such, machine dishwasher safe. Maybe get two if you want to be safe (one for meat one for vegetables / non-meat).

Sounds great; thanks! I couldn't decide between wood and plastic, so I really appreciate your suggestions. Oh, and we probably will get one for vegetables and one for meat, partly also because I'm a vegetarian while she eats meat.

If so, get different colored plastic ones. That way you can remember which is which:-)
Also, get the ones with the "troughs" around the edges--that way when your girlfriend cuts into a steak, the juices will get caught and not run all over the counter.
Don't spend a fortune as they don't last forever.

Great idea regarding the troughs. Currently, when she cuts watermelon, she does it in a pizza pan =P

if you have an Ikea close, they are 99 cents for colored cutting boards, plastic.

Really? That's great to know, considering that I will most likely be visiting an IKEA later this week. Thank you!
