Help! Is this Hp p6100t Desktop Computer a good deal?

Costco has a desktop deal with free printer and free windows 7 upgrade (from HP) for 499.00 with free shipping. I have searched the net and cannot find any reviews and I don't know anything about video cards, processor types, etc. I am not a gamer, I just need a good desktop . The specs are:

you didn't say where you checked. try cnet; amazon and you could go to your library and get a copy of consumer reports to check it out. As for the price, you also did not say where you checked. Try pricespider.com; overstock; bizrate, pricegrabber. You may even want to do a search here to see if someone else was checking out what to look for in a basic desktop computer. Try cnet too for that. Hope that helps. It is at least a start.

I think it is a ok deal. It is not a great money saver though

This system is $439 is quite comparable to above system

moreover it has better processor Core 2 Duo instead of Dual core

weak processor, small HD and small LCD. This is a computer for a person who uses computers lightly. You can do better if you wait for a slickdeal. But that could take time...
