Seventeen magazine said that there would be 5000 winners of the Classic Diamonds and Intense Diamonds deluxe samples of fragrances from Armani, and they posted no winners. This was the giveaway that started in Nov 2008.

I wrote a very polite registered letter to Seventeen magazine and asked where the winners were, they always post them online, but I got no response, and no response to three emails.

I believe that they never gave them away at all.

The giveaway was on the cover of the 2008 November Seventeen magazine and was supposed to go until January . . .and was for the first 5000. Like they would have to hold it open that long to get enough winners????

So messed up . . . This is mean to promise things to young people and not come through . . . over and over again.

Their very recent Hollywood sunless tan giveaway was about the same . . . I won but the email had no name on it, it was blank where the name should be and you had to show identification that matched your email . . . Hahahaha. Then I got an email quite a while later saying that the Hollywood tans places had our names so we could go . . . we had about 5 days left on the coupon . . . thanks.

I went and the place knew nothing about it and would not honor the coupon.

Another Messed-up Giveaway . . . Seventeen used to be one of the Best, Guess they are run by Allure now . . .

It's a cardboard with 5 vials, 1 of each fragrance. They don't even spray, like the Sephora samples do! I had called Nordstrom yesterday to ask if I could come in and get them a day ahead. The woman told me that the deal is buy one, get one FREE, each costing $30. She said Seventeen was running the promo because the fragrance line was changing the packaging and clearancing out the old bottles. I told her the ad showed 5 of the bottles, and did not say we had to purchase anything. She said she would put one aside for me, because "alot of the employees want them". First of all, wouldn't they be exempt??

I had someone pick these up for me today, and she was handed the cardboard with vials. Makes me wonder if that's what all Nordstrom's will be giving away? Can we even blame Nordstrom because Seventeen mislead us? Or was Nordstrom supposed to give us the actual bottles? I want to pursue this further, but don't know where to begin.

I bought the magazine because I thought they were the size pictured on the magazine. The lady at Nordstrom wouldn't even take my sisters printout because they only have a "limited sample and couldn't afford to give it to everybody." What a rip!

That is not what the rules said, this is another one of those sucky Seventeen deals. Like the Pac Sun one with the free t- shirts, well I guess they got enough complaints and more people were able to get them.

I actually went today and they gave you those very small sample bottle size that you have to pour on your body to get the perfume on you (e.g. non spray). I don't it's worth going if you are just going to Nordstrom for that.

u print homepage and u can also print rulespage for the freebies. they said you can either bring the mag or a printout of the seventeen homepage.

Nope, it's a postcard with peel offs of each scent. Still if you want to get a sniff and it's free... G is the best fragrance.

What did you guys expect?
look up the price of the bottles pictured, depending on what fragrence they are they range from $30-50!!! you can buy empty ones for $20.
the second smallest bottles are $100!!!

Look up prices on the samples you got, i know they sell them too, and are NOT cheap.

2. that you got that much of it.
3. they gave you the better smelling ones, not the discontinued discusting ones.:D

Yeah I drove 30 miles to get these and I must admit although free if seventeen had the picture of those vials in the mag I wouldn't have gotten up so early and dragged my mom with me. And for the people who are dying to have these I'd be happy to trade for a gift card or something but I don't think these even have any value.

I had purchased the full size perfume at Macy's when it first came out and it was really expensive. I still have some fragrance left but I try to only use it for special occassions since it is not even a large bottle.

I was passing by a Nordstrom's a while back while buying some games when I heard loud music coming from inside. I walked in and apparently the Harajuku girls were promoting the fragrance and dancing to music. I'm not exactly sure what the heck Stefani sees in these young ladies, but.....they sucked. I mean, they REALLY sucked at dancing. No doubt in my mind they were original Harajuku girls(not some hired posers) because I snapped photos of them and compared them to the pics of them online and it matched. They offered people from the audience to join them, and there were some female volunteers who had some real talent and here you have the professional's being one up'd by volunteers.

Yea this has nothing to do with the fragrance, but seeing this topic reminded me of the incident.

They Sing! I thought they were Gwen Stefani's backup dancers or something. I thought this whole perfume line came out of Gwen's love for the Harujuku district in Toyko, Japan on one of her visits. Interesting....
