Hi guys

I am going to Vegas next weekend and want to buy some ammo so I can rent a M16 and AK 47 to shoot at the range.

Can you tell me if there are any difference in ammo or there is just a single 9mm casing that will fit any 9mm gun?

Also if you know of any cheap places in vegas that will let me bring my own ammo and shoot the M16 and AK47 would be helpful.

Thanks

Sorry if I confused you, I am a gun newbie.

From their website their AK47's use .223 - don't know if there are different types of .223 ammo, some of which may not fit?

Nope, if their AK versions use .223 then any .223 ammo should work just fine.

That being said I have been to different ranges with different rules so picking up a box of any old .223 might not work.

Some ranges have particular policies for their rented guns, such as you can't use outside ammo, and will need to purchase it there at the range. I have also seen ranges requesting that you do not use reloaded ammo in their rented guns.

It seems as if you have found a range that has both an AK and a M16 to rent. I would just give them a call get any info about ammo and prices they have before you make too much work for yourself finding another range and rentals.
