Now that Sirius has increase my subscription fees for the second time in 3 months I'm thinking of canceling. Does their retentions department offer any good deals or freebies of you call and threaten to cancel?
i just called last week, the best the rep offered me was to credit me the $1.25/mth increase in fee for one year and give me one month free.
i just cancelled.
i was not persistent though, and did not call back, trying to get another rep to do better, so you might want to try that.

meh. maybe I'll just cancel too. not worth it to pay $20/month for radio when pandora and last.fm are free.

if it wasnt for jason ellis on faction 3-7 i would of quit months ago. ive been comped a month or two in the past but hey are hard to come by now. its hard to pay20/m for so so music
oh i enjoy having the sirius, mostly for the commercial free aspect(of most music channels), but it's getting pricey for that convenience.

x2, I got a 3 month deal for like $13 a while back. So far it's worth it.

Siruis is $20 now? geeesh
My wife put her account on hold(money was tight & something had to go) a cpl of years ago. They initially charged her the next month but with a phone call they reimbursed her. Funny part is they while they stopped charging her, said had free service for a year & a half before they caught on. No big loss as she only listened to it on the weekend.

Now that XM and Sirius merged, this may be true for Sirius. I'm an XM subscriber, and I've talked my way in to the $77/year deal for the past two years. I just call and say a friend got the deal and I want it too. But as mentioned, when I'm denied, I don't cancel, hang up and call back. Always be polite but persistent.

You're going to be this "friend" next time when my subscription ends :)

In case anyone else is interested, I called Sirius to cancel and was offered the $77 for 12 month deal or $20 for 6 months. I took the 6 months...
