Trying to take my family of 4 on a trip to either England, France, Germany, Malta during December into New Year. Have only seen prices of air $800.00 or better pp. Do they come down at all? That's just way too expensive for us. Any hints or discounts out there. Thanks

There are a lot of airlines flying from a lot of different cities, nonstop, to Europe. Where are you starting from? If its not a big city east of the Mississippi, you may need a layover. But book all your flights separately. Say Denver to Boston. Then another flight into Heathrow. Then check out the European airlines to smaller destinations from either London or Frankfurt. Book your London flight, round trip for 7 days, then add a connector round trip to say Rome, for 3 days, fly from home to London, then onto Rome. Enjoy the sights, return to London and see the sights there (skip Stonehenge, believe me).

Make take a day exploring your favorite travel site (I like Orbitz), but now is the time to book, air travel will skyrocket soon with climbing oil prices.
