I have heard that Sesame Place will start selling 2010 season passes in August of 2009, allowing for persons to buy early and start using early in August!

Anyone know details of such a deal?

Anyone know of such deals for Hershey Park, Dutch Wonderland, Dorney, Knoebles, Idlewild, etc?

Starting to get my own answer on this one. Called Hershey. They will offer an Early Bird Season Pass special in August. The cost is not yet published.

Knoebels was pretty good. I wasn't expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised. I don't think the all day pass is much of a deal unless you are planning on doing some non-stop rides.

The roller coasters are only $2.25 per ride, and most of the other rides are $1 to $1.50 each.

I spent 7 1/2 hours there and only managed to ride $22.50 worth of rides - didn't come close to getting my $37 worth. Traveling with 2 kids, I don't know what I was thinking, but the wife and I could have easily saved $30 by just buying the book of stamps/tickets.

The Twister coaster was great. I rode it 3 times in a row (before park closing) and not sure how many more times my body would have taken.

Haven't seen many deals on the other parks - you can get Hershey Park tickets for $41 at the Radisson. If you are also planning on doing Dutch Wonderland, I haven't seen anything that beats the combo ticket they offer with Hershey Park (~$69 for both parks) = that's about $14 off both. I haven't seen any discount tickets for DW.

Idlewild isn't all that close to Hershey, but depends on where you are. Kennywood tickets were only $23 at Giant Eagle stores. I remember seeing discounted tickets to Idlewild and Soak Zone inside of Kennywood, but I wasn't planning on going so I didn't look at the prices.

Enjoy your amusement park adventures - I've been having a blast!
