I need help finding a free download for anti virus

I have tried avg 8.5 and it doesn't work, by this I mead I can not pull up my web pg. for some reason my yahoo messegner shows up but if I go to surf the web - nope doesn't happen - it says page can not be displayed.

so I need something else on here- any ideas? Thanks

Or Avira (http://www.free-av.com/) but AVG is my favorite. It might just take a little tweaking to get it to work with your software.

Avast! is waay better than AVG. AVG used to be pretty good... but now it's bloated with unneeded junk and its detection results aren't all that great. Avast is definitely one of the best ones I've come across lately... although the interface is a bit weird. They try and make it like a car's cd player?

There's another good one I can dig up if you're interested... the only problem is that it constantly bugs the user to upgrade to the paid version.
