There are 'free' BO Adult, GO kid coupons in any Lego Club magazine, which may be available free in Lego stores and even in some 'Lego themed' small businesses (like a game store). You also might want to check at a library, sometimes they have similar coupons as an encouragement for the kids to read books.

The cheapest ticket I've encountered was to upgrade a kid's annual pass to 'Passport +', which then includes a ticket. I doubt you have one, but that's $15, and gets free parking ($12 per visit), 10% off toys, and 20% off food.

After that, the BOGO coupon like above is good.

Depending on how long it takes the Lego Store to send it, a 'Brickmaster Club' membership would get a ticket for $40 + S&H, http://shop.lego.com/Product/?p=KBM27. It also sends you a magazine and a small Lego kit every other month. If you have a Lego Store nearby, you can order it there and I think they waive the S&H.

Also, there is a Costco next door that sells discounted tickets, and if you plan on being there more than one day, a 3-month pass:
http://www.costco.com/Browse/Productgroup.aspx?Prodid=11379362&whse=BC&Ne=4000000&eCat=BC|21124|29676|4839&N=4012516&Mo=6&pos=6&No=5&Nr=P_CatalogName:BC&cat=4839&Ns=P_Price|1||P_SignDesc1&lang=en-US&Sp=C&ec=BC-EC18537-Cat29676&topnav=

While Costo calls the above a 'Resort' Membership, it is not clear if it includes parking or the discounts.

I hope this helps.

If you can check the local Costco when you get there, they usually have ticket deals. Look for the cardboard "board" that you would take up to the register and exchange for the tix. I used to do that when I lived there. I'm in TX now too. Agh, it's too hot here! Enjoy your trip!
