My Dell E1505 is starting to crap out on me after 3 years and now I'm in the market for a new laptop. I've decided to go with a Lenovo ThinkPad. I'm trying to find a deal on either the T500 or T400. Under $600 would be nice... Should I just check the site everyday and hope for something? Is there a Friends & Family deal coming up? Thanks!

You might also try the Lenovo refurb site. No idea if T-series is on there yet (and their inventory seems to come and go), but I got a T61 on there last year at a decent discount.

So I'm all lined up to purchase my T400 from the contractors site and it says I'm saving almost $900....
Is there any other slick-tricks I should be doing?

Before you purchase, see if the Lenovo IBM Shareholder Purchase Program has anything of note.
It should be at lenovo.com/ibmspp
You may need to create an account, but they have good deals.
