I personally like to set Slickdeals.net as my home page. The other primary site I use is Google. It would be AWESOME if these two tools where available on the same site.

Please, Please, Please, add a google search link to your main home page. I know I can add google toolbar, etc and if I am using Firebird/Firefox, a google search is already there, etc.

But, I am a systems administrator, and I use many different computers and setting google up on each one can sometimes prove to be difficult.

Thank You

Or you could just have Slickdeals as your home page, and have the Google Toolbar, which makes the Google search right above it...

I don't really like the idea of google search on slickdeals.

I don't either. I think the best way to accomodate this poster is by directing him to the google toolbar. I use the google toolbar and love it.

I love the google toolbar, especially the pop-up blocker. I have blocked 585 pop-ups to date, and I don't surf heavily.

Sure is nice of companies to cleanup after Microsoft's mess. FireFox and Opera have built in popup blockers you know ;)

The only problem with using other browers, operating systems etc. is that people seem to spend more time getting them to work in everyday life. I am a big fan of alternate systems, unfortunantly I am not savvy enough to work through the various obsticles myself.

Ha, it is funny to see others use my comp because they have no idea how to use anything other than I.E. it is great!

Also I must say I appreciate those on slickdeals and a few of my friends who actually understand comp type things. for school we have to do an online exercise for every Fri. So I said "hey why not come on by I have a 4 port router" (wireless too) "we'll get some ppl together and get that thing done in 45min's. He had know idea what a 4port router was.... I was dissapointed to say the least.

ok back to being on topic.

Link to the Google Toolbar (http://toolbar.google.com/).

I recommend that when you install it and are given the following options:

1). install with advanced features
2). install without andvanced features

Choose the option to install without advanced features.

Google Toolbar rocks.

Way better than a Google search box on a web page since you can google from any site you're on..

445 and counting for me. The best part about the pop-up blocking is that you don't have to have a seperate pop-up blocker installed. Google is great..

TIP: To save screen space, you can move the Google toolbar to the same line as the File, Edit, View, Favorites, Tools, & Help menus.

Opera also has built-in Google searching. And eBay, and Amazon, and Lycos, and more.

Windows XP Service Pack 2 will add a pop-up blocker to IE, I believe. Too little too late.
