Hi,

I'm looking for a reliable place to purchase spare spare keys as well as a remote for my 2002 Nissan Maxima. I was just quoted over $200 for a set and programming fees. I have no problem with paying for the programming, but thought that $86 for a spare key and $100 for a remote was a little absurd.

I've checked a few places, such as ikeyless, but most have mixed reviews. I've also seen postings that I should definitely go to a registered dealer.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
- Brendan

not sure for the nissan, but i bought a couple of keyless remotes through ebay for like $20 each (search "keyless remote fobs for Nissan" or something like that. my 02 subaru remote can be programmed easily without any special equipment. as for a replacement key, i just had one cut at the dealer for like $10 (since there is nothing special about my key), and i've had a local hardware store cut me one as well.

ebay would be your best bet for getting keys...you can have your key cut at home depot or any other locksmith...and program at locksmith or dealer by calling them....total price for buying, cutting and programming $100.....
