Gateway from my experience means modem+router in one. Must be wireless. Budget is around $75 since that's about what it'll cost to buy them separately.

Do you already have a cable modem? If so, then you only need a Wireless Router.
If you don't have a cable modem and want to get a modem/router combo device, here are some products to look for:

Motorola SURFboard SBG900 DOCSIS 2.0 Wireless Cable Modem Gateway
I would recommend keeping the two devices separate. Your choices are very limited for combination devices. You can get more features in a stand-alone router and you could upgrade one component if technology changes. If one device dies, the other can still be used.
