DD needs these for tryouts(may or may not make the team)
Ive found the volleyball shorts and knee pads are VERY expensive:eek: and wondering if anyone had any ideas on this?
Thanks!!! :)
not sure what type of shorts you need (the spandex-type, or running type) for vball.
www.spikevolleyball.com has $20 kneepads
nikestore has $15 kneepads
www.volleyballcentral.net
also www.volleyball.com they have youth kneepads for $12
as for volleyshorts, really any gym-type shorts would be fine.

Forget about the outfit (except maybe the shorts...don't wanna be the odd one out) and invest the money saved in a skills coach to ensure that she DOES make the team.
She doesn't need knee pads for volleyball. Most Olympic level athletes don't even wear knee pads!

She is required by the coach for the knee pads, or she will not be able to play...

That...is a real shame. That's the system for ya.
Anyhow, I wish her luck. Volleyball is a great sport :)
