View Full Version : Double Stroller
We are looking for a double stroller for our coming twins. We already settled on on car seats: Graco Snugride for first six months, then move to Graco Myride 65 which we hope can work for another 3-4 years.
Looking for double strollers, we have a couple of questions:
1. which is better for our situation: side-by-side or tandem?
2. Is there a double stroller that is compatible with Graco carseats? can two carseats fit in one stroller?
Any suggestion and advices are greatly appreciated

just welcomed twin boys this march, so i can help out a bit..
we currently have this (http://www.amazon.com/Baby-Trend-Double-Stroller-Frame/dp/B000LEI82W) stroller for the car seats. we use it to snap in two graco snugrides with no problem. i believe it might be possible to snap the seats in both forward and rear facing, but we have only ever snapped them in facing the pusher..
once the boys outgrow their car carriers, we will be getting a new stroller (actually looking now). our thought is to get one of the nicer strollers in the $300-$400 range that will last us the next 3 or so years, as opposed to opting for a cheaper stroller that we may need to replace sometime down the road.
good luck in the coming weeks/months/years. prepare yourself for the controlled sleep deprivation that is on your horizon. get set on a schedule that works for your family. our boys have been sleeping ~10pm - 5am since the end of june, so there is a light..
side note - any special reason why you're thinking of switching the twins out of the car carriers at 6 months? most suggest waiting until 12 months..

Thanks for the info. Now I have my eyes on this one: this one (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B000YCAJGY/ref=ord_cart_shr?_encoding=UTF8&m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&v=glance). Reasonable price and versatile stroller.
Oh.. I was told that it would be better to switch to larger carseats around 6 months.

Citi Mini Double. My wife did months of research , pro's and con's charts and scoured the net. This stroller is a dream.

our boys are almost 4 months now and still weighing under 15 lbs. our plan is to keep them in their 'infant' seats as long as possible (12+ months), and then switch them over to something that is rearfacing, again, for as long as possible.
we have been eyeing that kolcraft for awhile too, and to be honest, we're still contemplating that (as well as the city mini and city micro). if i were you, i'd opt for the stroller i linked in my first post for right now, unless you are planning on doing any jogging with your newborns.
this puts you in a situation to continue waiting for the best deal to pop up. that kolcraft has been ~$220 forever..

Thanks. Someone mentioned to me that with 15% off coupon, you may be able to get Kolcraft at $170 at BRU when the price dropped to $199, which sounds a slick deal for me. So I am waiting....
