LiberKey groups a lot of free software. True "swiss army knife", it offers local and/or portable use.Three versions to choose from

LiberKey groups 264 portable software and some compilations :

* LiberKey Ultimate (202 packages)

* LiberKey Standard (106 packages)

* LiberKey Basic (28 packages).

* Local use (directly installed in a hard disk directory)
Why install more than 200 software if they are available in one step via LiberKey ?
Best Open Source or Freeware have been selected in order to match most practical needs (OpenOffice, FireFox, Filezilla, Gimp, Videolan,...). They have been grouped under categories in order to facilitate the search and the execution of the desired software.
* Portable use (installed on USB key, external hard drive, music player such as iPod, ...)
It is possible because these software have been made portable. For example, LiberKey installed on your portable device can be plugged in any computer.
Immediately you have under hand all your familiar tools.

Wish I knew why someone indicated "Not a good freebie". Takes all kinds.

Actually, there is something to it.
The packages are set up in a "portable" configuration so they don't need to be installed on the host computer to run them; they run directly from the flash drive. This is very different than just keeping the installation file(s) on a flash drive.

Yes, you can use things like BartPE to make all sorts of software "portable". But it's awesome that someone went to the effort, saving us the time.

Having an entire library of utilities and apps in a "portable" mode is very handy. (for amateurs and professionals alike)
