I need a good mini fridge for college. Anyone know of any cheap deals going on?

I'd check craigslist or garage sales...so many people get them for college and then never need them after freshman year.

WalMart has them for $100 or so usually. SlickChick is right, though - check your university newspaper, too.

i saw couple of models of fridges (one small desktop one and another v cool one on which you could write stuff with a marker) in BJs (the wholesale club) in the 100$ range... If you are not a member, you can still buy the stuff but u'd have to pay a 5% surcharge.....

Stay AWAY from Haier and Kenmore 3.9 cu ft models. They can usually be found for under $100, which is why I got one, then returned it got another one, wanted to return it, and then checked the consistantly terrible reviews.

Other than that, craigslist.

I have a Chefmate mini fridge in my office at home. I purchased it at Target. Doesn't have a small freezer in it. I use it strictly for water bottles, Diet Coke or iced tea bottles...but of course it would fit most anything nicely. It comes with a shelf that is removable and has a shelf in the door. I keep yogurt in the door. I've had it three years now and works great.
There's a removable filter in the back for easy cleaning.
Coldness ranges from 1-5 on a dial. Target also sells larger mini fridge's.
Here's a picture of the one I have.

I'm intending on buying a Daewoo 2.7' Mini Fridge from costco for only $79.99. Must use the coupon provided by them to bring it from $100 to $80...
