I'm starting medical school and need a printer, anyone know where I can find one at a good price.. it would be awesome if it copied as well, but not necessary.

Generally I find laser printers to be the least hassle so a really cheapo laser printer is a good deal. There was recently another one of those cheapo Samsung 2050 deals in Hot Deals but tht may be over. The Brother laser was selling at OD this week for 49 bucks but today is the last day. Obviously the toner replacement can be expensive later but many people refill them to lower the cost to usually 10-15 bucks for another gazillion pages. Eventually youll have to buy another cartridge but you can often find remanufactured ones, OEM ones etc for around 30-40.
Inks are generally very expensive but not if you refill them yourself too. You can get the canon for 32 bucks anytime at any Wal Mart and other stores. The low end Canon. The thing I dont like about ink jets is they have clogged up when I have them sitting around and the refill jobs dont always come out right though you can buy cheap already filled generic cartridges too for more money than a DIY refill.
Ive seen some dirt cheap ALL IN ONE units -- scanners and inkjets on sale all the time. The Canons have always been on sale. I saw a killer deal at Wal Mart for a 100 buck unit for some ridiculous price online 30 bucks or something. It was sold out in a second though. They have cheaper ALL IN ONES for around 50-60 everywhere.

HP 8000 wireless inkjet for about $40. Check out the front page deal. Find a free trade-in printer on Craigslist to get the $50 simple rebate. Go to Staples. I think there is another deal on this printer even cheaper at OD this week. good luck with your studies..
I do agree that a cheap laser printer (like a Samsung) would be almost as cheap and more reliable.

One thing about HP printers in the past , they used cartridges that had print heads built into them. That made the cartridges really expensive and it was also harder to refill them for me. Maybe they changed them. The Canons had simple ink tanks with the print head a different unit so it tended to be easy to fill and cheaper.
