Be careful if you order the Asus P6T. I almost ordered that but realized when you do a search for it at online stores, most seem to only carry the Crossfire version, not SLI version.
I ended up just ordering the EVGA X58 SLI LE. You may opt for the regular non-LE version if you're a power hungry user. I believe there's a roundup on tomshardware for x58 motherboards.
If I may also ask, 12 gigs? For gaming all you will need is 6 gigs.. the difference between 3 and 6 gigs wasn't even always appreciable in benchmarks I saw. I would say stick with 6 gigs and use the money saved elsewhere..

This Asrock (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157163) X58 Exteme seems to be a huge hit. I just got one 2 seconds ago after trying for weeks but it kept going out of stock. Anandtech rates it very high. It also supports 24 gigs of memory so you can always upgrade more later and at $169.99 it is one of the best full featured inexpensive mobos out there for i7.

Nevermind. Sold out again already. They can't keep them in stock for more than a couple of hours. I got mine though.

Asrock is a subsidiary of ASUS. They are more budget oriented and they engineer some pretty crazy boards at times without subjexting the parent company to litigation and/or criticism. This board however is a keeper and you won't be dissatisfied.
