Hey guys:

I wanted to pull the trigger and switch from AT&T to Verizon the other day (when they had a free activation promo), but sat on my butt, and didn't do it! Does anyone know a code, or something to avoid the $35 fee?

THANKS!

You could buy the plan through Let's Talk at this link:
http://walmart.letstalk.com/product/browse.htm?pgId=100&serviceCorpId=660

It says there is free activation through Sept. 3. Phones can be free or a money maker after rebate. Read the find print, though. Their customer service sucks, too.

I purchased my plan through them, but now I deal with Verizon directly.

Supposedly there is no activation fee when you book online today, according to a live chat agent with whom I just spoke.

they always advertise no activation fee, but i have never had an activation fee even when they don't say that.
even when switching phones in the middle of a contract b/c i broke one they usually wouldn't charge the activation fee if you go to a corporate verizon store rather than a franchise store
