Okay, so I finally registered yesterday, and have attempted to upload a custom avatar, but can't get it to work. It keeps telling me I'm not allowed to upload an animation, yet, there are so many on the site who have one. Can anyone give me a definitive answer? What's the deal!?! Sorry to be so obsessed about such a little thing, but... it bugs me!

I am trying to find out. I think this was a bug. Not sure of the fix.

The vBulletin software was just upgraded last weekend. Since then, there have been quite a few bugs in the system that need to be worked out. One of these bugs is the inability of some users to upload animated avatars. This issue does not affect everyone. We're working on getting it fixed for everyone.
Just bear with us as we get through the struggle of the software upgrade.

:bounce: Sweet, thanks fellas. After posting this, I came to realize that I can't even upload an image... (even the non-animated plain vanilla .jpg stuff) As long as my problem isn't due to me being an idiot, I feel great about it. Let me know if you can when it gets fixed. :secret:

You need to go through our new user "initiation" first. <img src="http://forums.slickdeals.net/image.php?u=1094&dateline=1131589883" />
Check your usercp, you should be able to upload avatars now. :)
