I think it's a cute show. It's a little corny on the 'love/lust' storyline but it has some pretty good laughs in it.

DH has been working on Wednesday nights so I get to watch whatever I want. I am almost embarrassed to admit it, but I love it. I agree with Peachyum, it does get a little corny, but I am okay with it. They all have awesome voices, especially the dude in the wheelchair.

is it anything like high school musical?
The show is an absolute riot. We laughed the entire time and used the rewind button several times to catch the stuff that we missed.
How does a guy keep from "arriving" too early - that answer was just wrong, both the dead kittens and his actual thought. And the Guidance Counselor's response to learning that Rachel lacks a gag reflex was priceless.
The remix of Rehab from the pilot is better than the original song and everything last night was very well done - Gold Digger, Push It, Say A Little Prayer For You, and Rhianna's song at the end.
All of the "kids" are experienced Broadway actors, some with Tony nominations. And Jayne Lynch is a great evil character.

I thought it was funny enough that it will keep me watching, but if I miss a week I wouldn't be upset or anything.
By the way, the lead actress (Lea Michele) is beautiful. There is no way that a girl that hot would be unpopular in any real high school.

My wife and I liked Glee. We saw it a few months ago when it had the premiere of it. We have been waiting for it to actually start!

Looked like it was going to suck, and I'm sure it does.
And the scene from the celibacy club - "All about the tease and never to please" and "My zipper must've hit it"
And the beginning:
"If you quit Glee, I'll let you feel my breast"
"Under the bra?"
"Over the shirt."
So very wrong and yet so funny.

The Celibacy club is a rip off from One Tree Hill.

It's plot is dragging, hope it picks up.

I like it, but I'm not sure how long the appeal will last for me. I'm a bit disappointed because it's not nearly as good, imo, as the hype suggested it would be. Some of the music is a ton of fun -- I loved their version of Gold digger. The lip synching is terrible, however.

I disagree that the plot is dragging. So far in two episodes there has been: (spoilers for those who haven't seen it yet)
1. Rachel and Finn kissing
2. the wife finding out she isn't really pregnant
3. the cheerleaders joining the glee club
4. Emma stopping the flirting with Will and "moving on"
Most shows would drag those plot elements out over at least an entire season.

Great episode. Queen is my favorite band of all time. I have never heard a cover of Somebody to Love that I liked (and I love the original song)...until now,
This was, hands down, the greatest cover of the song of all time. Finn's opening note starts out a bit off (he does get it together by the end of the note though), but other than that, the song was fantastic.
rachel could leave glee again, and i wouldnt be sad.

but anyway, i really liked how they sang maybe this time.
and i also liked the cowboy song in the end.
the queen song, not so much, with finn's awkward dance and notes.
kristin chenoweth  i hope they make her a recurring character what with her being an emmy winner :)

My favorite part of the Madonna episode was near the beginning of the episode when the girls were sitting around discussing how to say no to guys when one of them said that she didn't have this problem because she never said no. That and the part where they were walking around the hall and you se the different Madonna's in the background.

Any ideas as to why it's 2 weeks before the next episode?
I still don't know why, but i was able to determine that they are rerunning an episode that they didn't rerun in the summer:
WBFF - 45 - Tue, 11/02, 8:00 PM 1 hr
"Funk"
Repeat, 6/01/2010, Eng, Comedy, Music, Musical
The glee club gets some news that rattles a few nerves when they find out there is a traitor in their midst; Quinn connects with her "funky" side thanks to some help from Mercedes; Will manages to get his revenge on Sue.
Now that I've seen this episode of Glee, I really do think you have to be familiar with RHPS to like or understand it.
