Want to have the scariest Halloween costume ever, start some buzz handing out leaflets at school or around town, or just take some sweet Facebook pics and get the word out about McDonald's cruel treatment of chickens? You've come to the right place!
Every year, millions of chickens are raised and killed for McDonald's restaurants. Many of these birds suffer broken legs and wings and other serious injuries. They have their throats cut while they're still conscious, and many are even scalded to death—despite the fact that less cruel slaughter methods exist. Chickens need your help!
By filling out the form below, you'll receive a pack that includes a limited-edition "Evil Ronald" mask, stickers, petitions and leaflets to help get the word out about McCruelty at school and around town, and more!

barker, you should be safe in ordering it. I've even ordered PETA's Vegan Starter Kit (this amounts to a leaflet with celebs all over it telling you since they're rich and famous and vegan, you should be, too) and have not heard from them since. I think the mask is a safe order - not only that, would make a great part of a costume.

I get stuff from PETA all the time- I am not strictly vegan and do rescue work (pets not livestock) Sometimes they go overboard ..............the chicken video was disturbing, but so many are so removed from their food source I guess they dont know that livestock are used for meat. And humans are omnivores- plain and simple.

I think Burger King has this beat with their super scary Burger King guy mask. Would scare the s**t outta me on a dark night...
Of course, they're using him for advertising, but I think it serves more to drive people away.
As far as how we treat livestock - my mom used to share her stories of cutting chicken heads off live chickens & watching them run around without it. Yuk. What do they expect? Anesthetize them first???????

Could not agree more. I did not order this mask, but I'd order a BK mask in a heartbeat just to scare the crap out of my husband first thing in the morning :lmao:

PETA expects humans in a first world highly industrialized country to be "evolved" to the point where they don't eat meat any more. Keep in mind PETA also expects PETS in a first world highly industrialized country to also not eat meat - they advertise BS pet food companies that do not use animal products in their kibble, and call it "natural" - because, of course, the cat's natural diet is nothing but soy, carrots, and whole grains.
Having said that, there are valid complaints from AR activists - primarily, the chickens in question are often processed while alive - they're not culled properly at the top of the line, so when they're bathed briefly in boiling liquids, they're still completely aware (as aware as you can be when you're a bird, I suppose). Similarly, there are accounts of deliberate abuse, exceptionally poor sanitation and unsuccessful culling in just about other industrial-sized slaughterhouses. Gross stuff - not because of death, but because I don't like the idea of my meat getting smeared with feces before it's packaged and shipped to the butcher.
In the end, PETA and the like have made me aware of the benefits of buying locally fed/raised and locally culled and cut meats. My goal is to someday have a farm with a good amount of land where I can raise my own steaks and bacon on the hoof. :yummy:

....if those animals don't like us murdering their children in front of them, then they should just run for office and change things.
Maybe we should strap each chicken to a gurney, insert an IV into one of it's wing veins and administer sodium thiopental, pancuronium bromide and potassium chloride while other chickens watch through a window from another room. Of course, only certain chickens would be allowed to watch and the list would include:
Relatives of the chicken
The farmer
Medical personnel
Spiritual advisor(s) including PETA members
Farmhands
Official group of "reputable chickens"
Official group of state-selected witnesses
Media representatives
I mean, if it's good enough for condemned human criminals, surely PETA has to believe it's good enough for a human food source.

I agree, Vegans are some of the most judgmental people I have ever met. But, I can't figure out why most everything they eat is formed after some type of dead animal product, ie soy burgers and soy bacon (fake dead cows and fake dead pigs).
If something is so gross why eat a facsimile product? I have never bought fake dog poop for consumption because it's gross. Why do vegans eat so much fake meat?

veganism is no more environmentally concious than omnivore food is. For one thing, it takes tons and tons of resources to grow all that soy. Also, using products that are "fake" such as faux leather, and petrolium based products is really awful. They're by products of the oil industry, which is definitely not an enviromentally friendly establishment, or at least, not any more so than a factory farm is! At least animal products decompose in the landfills. People will always eat meat. I would rather have people use up the excess products than waste them only to use new products made out of oil. It's twice as wasteful.
That mask is really freaking creepy. That photo might warrant a warning since there are people who really are scared of clowns.

I signed up for a free DVD from Peta once. I got the DVD which was unintelligible to me. I guess growing up on a farm, you understand how things work. Anyway, then I was on their mailing list and they sent me a nickel. You know the gimmick where if someone gives you something, then you feel you need to donate to the organization? (I have lots of return address stickers that way.) Anyway, I chucked the material, but kept the nickel.

Dogbert, have you ever heard of Tofu Turkey? It's VERY popular among many vegans and vegetarians. There's even vegan hot dogs. :vomit:
i cant remember how many times my grandma told me the story about how she used to behead countless chickens at the stump so on and so forth.....
My mom and older sisters would swing them above their head (like a propeller) to break their necks, otherwise cutting their heads of would result in them, well, running around with their heads cut off.
It's "interesting" how people who eat this crap would vomit in every direction if they had to kill, cut, and separate these animals by hand. At six years old (in the 1990s) I vividly remember seeing a cow's brains coming out of its ear and his blueish tongue hanging out of the side of his mouth from being sledge-hammered. The truth is I'm not even moved when seeing the PETA chick video. That's just what happens on these farms. If you showed that video to someone with livestock experience they would think you were showing them a around-the-chicken-farm footage. My dad has seen the video and I kid you not he is surprised that it actually bothers people so much that they become emotional over it. That's just what happens to animals. You wanna eat them? They gotta die.
Even though I don't eat meat I always appreciate people who raise, kill, and cook their own livestock. It's so easy for McLardasses to sit and gorge themselves without ever having to deal with the messy part (unless you include what it must smell like when they go to the bathroom).
I say continue eating at McDonald's as long as I don't have to sit next to one of you fatties on the train

No luck! Just got the following email:
Thank you for your interest in PETA's McCruelty campaign. Unfortunately, due to a high volume of requests that exceeded our projections, we are unable to process your order for an "Evil Ronald" mask. I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience that this may have caused.
The good news is that with more than two weeks left until Halloween, there's still enough time to make your own "Evil Ronald McDonald" costume. To get you started, we've even made a printable version of the mask available for you to download.
Don't forget to visit McCruelty to learn about more ways to help the hundreds of millions of birds who are killed for McDonald's each year. Thank you for understanding and for everything that you do to help animals! I look forward to working with you to pressure McDonald's into giving birds a break.

Thank you for your interest in PETA's McCruelty campaign. Unfortunately, due to a high volume of requests that exceeded our projections, we are unable to process your order for an "Evil Ronald" mask. I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience that this may have caused.
Same here. I am so disappointed. I was looking forward to this tremendously.

For all animals,
just saw the same e-mail in mine- damn. I was gonna have more fun with it at work

I used to get the PETA emails, but they made me so sad and I had to stop reading them. I can't watch the videos. It's hard to be a vegetarian when you're broke.

PETA is a horrid organization. They are detimental to both human and animal welfare!

PETA also prays on children, and tries to use children against their parents. In these comics they gave to kids, they say at the end that the parents are going to kill the family pets:

A few things PETA is against (far from a complete list):
- pets
- no-kill animal shelters
- service dogs for the blind
- police dogs
- meat, eggs, honey, and any other animal-product food even if the animals are unharmed
- World Wildlife Fund
- March of Dimes
I love animals. (I also eat meat, those two are not mutally exclusive. )
I am a strong supporter of animal WELFARE, and adamantly against animal rights.
Animal welfare's philosophy is to protect animals from cruelty and neglect. Humans and animals can co-exist. If an animal is going to be killed for food, it should be as quick and painless as possible.
Animal rights' philosophy is to end all human-animal interaction. No pets, no service dogs for disabled people, no using or interacting with animals for any reason.
And yes, I know how we get our food. I grew up on a farm and in a farming community. I also come from a family of hunters.
And I also know that the PETA videos are grossly exaggerated. If PETA was responsible for statistics on child abuse, they'd label every parent as an abuser. (That's what they do with farmers. You're a farmer? You must be an animal abuser. Which is NOT the case. Farmers care about their animals. I remember taking a sheep into the vet in the middle of the night, the vet worked on the sheep wearing her pajamas! And even ignoring moral reasons for taking proper care of animals, abused animals are not profitable! It would be against the financial interest of a farmer to not take good care of their animals.)

Yep. I don't know how anyone can love animals and be affiliated with PETA.
