Greetings SlickDealers!

I'm looking for an inexpensive (<$50) stereo receiver. I only need the receiver, as I was given some AWESOME speakers. I need to find a nice receiver (preferably one that isn't hideous!) that has (at a minimum) an optical/TOSLink input. I would like to have my TV output set to the fiberoptic cable, and use that for the input of the receiver.

I appreciate your assistance and ideas!

I cant remember ever seeing a new receiver that low. The lowest price I generally see is around the 100 buck range. I think craiglist is your best bet or look at used stuff from Amazons sellers or ebay.

Theres the Sherwood stereo basic receiver for 100 but I dont think it has optical inputs. The cheapest one I see with it is 150.

Im sure there are plenty of people , maybe someone you know --- throwing away some old receiver. I had an ancient Kenwood I threw away several years ago. Its like TVs. I see old tube TVs out on the curb almost every other week if you drive around where they have condos.
