There is a game out there called A Tale in the Desert and basically it is a player-run game. Players come up with laws and if passed, they are implemented. They have also voted to ban certain troublemakers and they were perma-banned. There are also people who do tests in a certain field can perma-ban anyone for any reason and the creators won't do anything about it.
That being said - could we do something like that here?
Here is the game -> www.ATITD.net
Here is the banning of one of the players -> http://wiki.atitd.net/tale2/Laws/Hipi/Full_Ban_Of_Machiavelli

Neat concept, but what's to prevent this from being abused? Say X does not like Y, for some silly reason and puts out a poll to ban Y. Couldn't that cause hurt feelings and lots of useless work for the mods? I say if you don't like someone, just put them on your "ignore" list. See the features in your user CP for info on how to do this.

:iagree:
Last I checked, It is against the rules to single out one person, with the intention to cause trouble/humiliate that one person.
I think the Green Bars & Red Bars' are doing just fine in regards to banning people.

I would also suggest sending off a mod alert or PMing a mod and letting them know what the issue/concern is...We'll take a look at it and handle it from there.

thanks finzz, I did not know there was an ignore.
The system does work in the game, but I do see how it could be abused here.
