I need to find a good laptop for my sister - help ^^

Her sony vaio laptop is dead and I need to find her a good laptop under 1,000$

She is going to use it for music , school , movies , dramas and something simple.

Something that will last her for a long time not like the overpriced sony.

can anyone help out finding a really good laptop or a good deal on one?

Do a search in this forum for "laptop".

You do realize that $1000 buys a tremendous laptop these days, right?

You can spend $300 for a real slickdeal bottom-end laptop, up to $500-$700 for a Thinkpad or equivalent.

Unless she plays games and needs a gaming laptop with discrete graphics, no need to spend close to $1000.
