I have decided to get our first flat panel this year. Our current TV is a 30" wide tube, which is going in the family room. I decided on plasma because I like the deep blacks and wide viewing angles. I do not see getting a blu-ray in the next few years so 720p is fine with me.
I have been looking at this 42" Pannasonic for http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_05775509000P?vName=Computers+%26+Ele ctronics&cName=Televisions&sName=Flat+Panel $599 at Sears. I can't get the 10% off ENDZONE coupon to work and am wondering if the Friends and Family sale would take % off the 599 or the regular price.
Or I may get something else in the 40" to 50" range. I would like an EnergyStar Plasma model. Any good deals out there?

Bing cashback should give you another 10%. If you just read the Hot Deals section there are mountains of posts.

Sears had 15% off Panasonics over 46" instead of the F&F 5%. So the out the door price on a 720p 50" Panasonic TC-P50X1 would be $679.99 and a maybe a 5% rebate on Electronic Purchases Totaling $399 or more with Your Sears Card.
Our small Sears was not open Sunday nite and will do F&F Monday 10/19 instead. I am considering buying the TC-P50X1 for $679.99 OTD, but say I will pick up later on the weekend. Then using the receipt for a price match at a store that won't r@pe me with 26%+ interest like the Sears card will, then return to Sears and cancel my purchase. I would prefer not to have to jerk my local Sears around, but they only have a lower price OR 1 year interest free financing. Can anyone think of a way to prove the "special" 3 hour sale price without buying the set?
What are the best stores to PM to? I see Best Buy has 18 months no interest financing. Any stores Price Match plus?
I am still cheesed that I didn't start looking for a new plasma until after the 42" $469 Dell deal. Thanks.
