In addition, I suggest you read Miss Manners on Weddings (http://www.amazon.com/Miss-Manners-Weddings-Judith-Martin/dp/0609604317). If you can't find it at the library, used copies start at under $2 on Amazon. It covers all those awkward potential social situations that bridal magazines don't really delve into.
